  • Do Americans Love to Work?

    【查看数:】【解疑答惑】【字体:
Planning to spend part of the Labor Day holiday on the job? Blame your brain. Emory University researchers have found that earning pay excites the mind more than a windfall of cash or nabbing a lottery jackpot. Yes, we literally love to work.

Maybe too much. Travel site Expedia.com and Harris Interactive say U.S. workers won't use 415 million vacation days this year. Seems it's getting harder to take it easy. "We see our tasks as what we're here to do," says Joe Robinson, author of the pro-vacation Work to Live.
