Folded bags with bowties, as small as wallets.

Starting from June 1 this year, supermarkets in China will be required by Chinese Government to charge plastic bags, in hope it could reduce the amount of white wastes. To show her support for the policy, Xue Jie, a girl from Sichuan, designed and made her own eye catching environment-friendly handbags, which could be folded as small as a wallet.

The drafts for the bags covered her desk, journalists saw, and there were many initial designs like styles of bowties and the color of the cloth. Each bag is made of two layers. Embroidered cloth is applied to the exterior layer while the interior is made up of waterproof cloth.

“So it’s both convenient to carry and easy to clean” Xue said
