Rabbit Remembered is a novella sequel to the four John Updike "Rabbit" novels, all of which focus on their central character Harry Angstrom. In Rabbit Remembered, several old strands at last come together, and the dead Harry's survivors fitfully entertain his memory while pursuing their own happiness.
The time is the last months of 1999. Readers are offered the opportunity to revisit one of their all-time favorite fictional locales: Brewer, Pennsylvania, home of Harry's widow, his longtime lover, his son, and his son's wife.
