The mayor of Flint, Michigan blasted state officials Wendesday for not doing enough in the contaminated water crisis that's caught the attention of the nation.

Meanwhile, President Obama visited Detroit where he addressed the crisis. Obama has declared a federal emergency in Flint.

Another plunge in the price of crude oil slammed U.S. stocks on Wednesday, bringing the market to its slowest level in nearly 2 years.

The Dow Jones Industrial fell 249 points at closing after being down 565 points earlier in the day.

Talitan militans stormed a university in northwestern Pakistan, killing at least 20 people, and triggering an hours-long gunbattle with security forces.

2015 was labeled the hotest year on record. Scientists are blaming man-made global warming with a boost from El Nino.

It was the 4th time in 11 years that the Earth broke annual marks for high temperature.
