Amanda Quick 作品阅读 ——— Desire 完结

下一本我选了 Desire （1993）：

这次立场反过来了，有钱有地位的是女人，男主角是出身相对不好的一方

格式与Seduction一样，变色字体为写得好值得学习的语句。

由于Amanda Quick名下的作品都是古代浪漫小说，很多生词会在不同小说里反复出现，因此在之前作品里标注过多次的生词，在后面的阅读中我都不会再标注。

Desire共20章，从Prologue开始（我标为Chapter 0），到19章结束。

但是现在看伦敦时间我也该睡了，不然Kira抓到我熬夜又要叫了。
真的很困难，这些小说都是那种一拿起来就放不下的

那就是说，如果白天发现你还在就证明你在熬夜了哟~呵呵。

你的阅读速度太快了。我是几乎在最后才发现你做的Seduction，所以没跟。呵呵，现在就恰巧遇上你刚做Desire，紧跟！希望不会落得太远。

我现在放假，但是能纵容自己读小说的时间不多了，马上就要忙起来，所以以后不会这么快的。
在我消失或者冬眠期间你可以回头看Seduction。我觉得Quick的对话描写都很amusing，挺上瘾的。

我已经在叫了 ，3点诶，3点，请问那就是不熬夜么？那你熬夜岂不是该黑白颠倒，当两天正常人就有这么难么？

Chapters 3-4

Clare felt threatened by Gareth and was racking her brain trying to concoct some scheme to delay her impending marriage. Nicholas showed up at the wrong hour and gave the situation a funny stir. Ironically, by competing against Gareth for Clare's hand in marriage, he gave Clare no choice but to marry Gareth right there and then.

I find it a terrible insult to the intelligence of all the characters involved as well as the readers that that particular typle of primrose had only 5 petals on each stalk . I would expect there to be at least 21.Were people really that useless at maths back then? Incredible!!

Chapter 5:

Gareth prepared for the worst and assumed that Clare had been violated by Nicholas already. That knowledge infuriated Clare because as far as she was concerned, Gareth called her honour into question. Therefore Clare threatened not to consummate the marriage, in front of her entire household along with the neighbouring lord and all his men.

Everyone was worried about the consequences of Clare's threat. Clare began to realise the troubles herself, not with respect to her own safety, but public opinion.
