Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has wrapped up his three-day visit to China, after meeting with Chinese President Hu Jintao and the country's top legislator Wu Bangguo on Tuesday.
Singh highlighted the Strategic and Cooperative Partnership for Peace and Prosperity that the two countries established in 2005.
"I look forward with optimism to the future and the role which India and China are destined to play in the transformation of Asia and the world. This optimism is based on my conviction that there is enough space for both India and China to grow and prosper while strengthening our cooperative engagement."
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has signed strategic documents with visiting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The two heads of government signed the "historic documents on a shared vision for the 21st century," as well as ten other papers and memorandums of understanding that include cooperation in culture, science, railway transport, traditional medicine, geological surveys and medicine.
U.S. Pacific Command Chief Timothy Keating says his visit to China is part of constructive efforts in bilateral military cooperation.
