China is planning for more space missions after the successful Shenzhou-7 spaceship, including the establishment of a space station around 2020.

At a press conference just after the return of the Shenzhou-7 spaceship, spokesman of China's manned space program Wang Zhaoyao said that the next step will focus on docking technology. And more aspiring missions are expected.

"We are planning to send into space a target aircraft, or what we call a simple space lab in 2011. Afterwards, more manned and unmanned spaceships will be launched for a docking test. And we are going to set up a manned space station around 2020."

The success of Shenzhou VII space mission has helped boosted China's confidence in more space adventures. The official added that a lot of experience could be drawn from the mission.

"We must keep a cool mind as there is still a big gap with the state-of-the-art technology. There is a lot that we can learn from the Shenzhou-7 mission. We still have a long way to go."
