A series of public lectures started in Beijing Institute of Technology on Thursday to celebrate the 100-day countdown to the 13th Paralympic Games. The series features outstanding deeds of disabled people and the willingness of others to help them.

Wang Xinxian, Vice-Chairman of China Disabled Persons' Federation, says the lecture series will help people better understand disabled people and the Paralympics（残疾人奥运会）.

"The activity plays an important role in promoting the theme of 'excellence, unity and sharing' of the Paralympic Games. Through the lectures more people will be concerned with disabled people and will be ready to help disabled people in the future."

The lectures will also be held in factories and communities in Beijing in the following three months.

 “同一个世界、同一个梦想
”（One World One Dream）既是第二十九届奥运会的主题口号，又是第十三届残奥会的主题口号。
