Nearly 200 students from China's quake-hit Sichuan province are enjoying their stay at a summer camp in Tuapse, a city on Russia's Black Seacoast.
The trip for them is full of curiosities, laughs and friendship.
Our reporter Shi Yingying brings you the story.
It is the first time for these students to enjoy swimming in the sea. A more exciting thing is that they have a good time with their Russian peers.
A Russian teacher spoke of his fondness for the Chinese students.
"They like it here a lot. We also love having them here."
The teacher said he hopes children from China and Russia seize this precious opportunity to get to know each other better and make friends during the three-week summer camp.
Meanwhile, another batch of 90 students from quake-hit Shaanxi Province joined another summer camp in Russia.
The students received many presents from the Russian youngsters. Special care is also being taken of the Chinese guests.
Zhang Julian, a teacher who leads the team, explains how.
"After each meal, the chefs would ask us if we are satisfied with the dishes or not. They would also ask us if we have any further requests. We are quite moved."
Russian Vice Minister of Education Urij Senturin said he hoped the Chinese students would have a good time during their stay in Russia.
"Although many of you have lost your family, your heroic spirit has moved all of us. Let's give them a warm welcome."
The Chinese students from quake-hit regions traveled to Russia at the invitation of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. A total of 1,570 students will visit Russia in these two years.
