The Ballad of the Sad Cafe
Due to this unusual chilly, snowy, raw and lasting winter,my original plan was in vain, i have nothing to do but stay at home day and night ,sitting at the stove,I am just a idler.However, i want to search something to change this feeling, to get rid of this loneliness, so i choose to pick up this book which i have been longing for reading. Finally, i fill this grand task.While the dilemma comes after reading, i find my feelings and soul is more lonely deep down in my soul.i should have a solution, so i decided to writed it down.
As the title implies:it is a sad , bitter, story about a thiangle love story chich happened in a dreary, lonesome, sad town like a place that is far off and extranged from all other places in the world,where the winter is short and raw, the summer white with glare and fiery hot.
There were three persons who had parts in this story of this cafe.Miss Amelia, a rich tall woman , the owner of the cafe which once was stores;Cousin Lymon, a hunchback whose height was to Amelia'waist.who most resposible for the success and agiety of the place. Marvin Macy, the former husband of Miss Amelia, a terrible character who returned to the town after a long term in the penitentiary, caused ruin on his way , and he was also the hansomst guy in that place, and the well-beloved of females of this region.
Miss Amelia was a peculiar, able, muscul and good at making money and profit from others.Besides this, she was also a good doctor. Yet, she was 19, Macy was enchanted by her. Then Marvin Macy chose Amelia not because of her money but out of pure love, and he transformed to a well-behavoir gentleman because of this love. Later Amelia and he got married, unexpected this marriage lasted only for ten days. Amelia won't let him touch her. She even blowed on him, he gave all his treasuty to her, only to lost his wealth and got nothing from Amelia, He was stunned, beatened and sad, he left the town with the word he would take veagence on Amelia. He became a criminal and was thrown into penitentiary, however, after a term of years, he was on porole and released from the prison.
During these years, Lymon came to Amelia's store on a soft evening in Apirl with the claims that he was a kin to Amelia. To each person of the town's surprise,She took him.They got together, only Lymon presumed to call her with bare name while no one dared to. Lymon was the type of person who was easily set out from the crowd, and who had an instinct to establish an immediate and vital contact between him and all the things in whe world . It was largely because of him, the store was reformed to a cafe. There wer4e great changes of the cafe bit by bit. The cafe became an only pleasure place of this freary town. The cafe opened from 6PM to midninght everyday.Amelia and Lymon lived happily and quietly with the prosperity of the cafe until Macy teturned to the town.
There was a quirk phenomenon, lymon took great inetests in Macy, and he followed him everyday, he brought Macey liquor in the cafe for free. Macy can sit in the lagest table in the cafe, but Macy regarded Lymon as nothing, which surely made Amelia extremely angry. On the sly she even tried to posion Macy , but in vain.
At last, the situation has went on to this worse : there surely would be a fight between Amelia and Macy. In fact, it happened , but for Lymon, Amelia would had won. Lymon and Macy left the town in the early morning , they also did everything ruinous , then could think of, then they went off togtehr, two of them.
Amelia was left alone, for three years sht sat on the front steps every night, alone and silent, looking down the street and waiting, but hunchback never comes back.
This is the sad story of this cafe, the author told us what's the meaning of love. First of all, love is a joint experience between two persons but the fast that it is a joint experiece soes not mean it is a similar experience to the people involved, Ther are the lover and the be loved, the beloved is only a stimulus for all the stored-up love chich has lain quiet whithin the lover for a long time hitherto. And somehow every lover know this, he feels in his soul that his love is a solitory thing, he comes to know a new, strange lonliness and it is this knowledge which makes him suffer. There is one thing he must to do , he must house his love whithin himself as besthe can. A most mediocer person can be the object of a love chich is wild, extravagant and beautiful as the poison lilies on the swamp, the value and quality of any love is determined solely by the lover himself.
While most of us would rather ove than be loved. Almost everyone wants to be the lover, and the truth is that, in a deep secret way, the beloved fears and hates the lovers, for the lover is trying to strip bare his beloved. The lovercraves any plssible relationg with the beloved, even is this experience can cause him only pain.
But if the lover had recived nothing, What would he do? The lover become hate or even take beagence. He will destroy his love, which is a grand ruinous power in the world.
In this more and more lonely world, every single person seems to be more coutious on the theme of love, for feaf of sadness , pain and loneliness. There is a fact, once you have lived with another for a lont time, it will intolerable to live alone, but destiny always make fun of us,we have bear this pain and wildness loneliness.
As JINYONG said in SHENDIAOXIAOLV, there is a love flower : looling beatiful from outside whin thron in it. The petal fristly tastes sweet then bitter,at the same time, the persion who tastes it will thinking of his lover and their being apart.
