1.Final touches have been made in Denver where Senator Barack Obama is set to accept the Democratic presidential nomination tonight. About 75,000 people are expected to cram into Invesco Field to hear Obama as well as former Vice President Al Gore.
2.A wary New Orlean's keeping a close eye on Gustav. The tropical storm is expected to return to hurricane strength as it passes Jamaica today. Gustav is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico over the weekend and could hit the U.S. early next week.
3.Georgia's foreign minister is warning that ethnic cleansing of Georgians is taking place in South Ossetia and will soon be completed. She says Georgians have been cleared from their homes in the conflict zone and have been forced out into so-called buffer zones.
4.A couple of gold medalists are gracing the cover of Wheaties boxes. Gymnast Nastia Liukin who won the gold in the all-around competition and the decathlon champion Bryan Clay were given the honors. The new cereal box will show at stores early next month.
