The Olympic Village for the Beijing Games has been officially opened and hundreds of athletes have started checking in.

In order to build an open, harmonious and humanitarian culture within the village, the designers have set up convenient places of worship for the world's five major religions.

Staff members are also striving to do their best to provide a safe, reliable and comfortable "homelike" environment, so the article says guests can fully enjoy their Beijing Olympic experience.

"One World, One Dream" is the slogan for these Olympics, which carries hopes for building games based equality.

The paper says although they come from different cultural backgrounds and may hold different points of views, people have similar dreams.

Sharing a common destiny, the Beijing Olympic village has welcomed athletes and officials from 205 countries to share in the glory of the Olympic Games.
