With around one month to go to the Olympic Games, thousands of people attended a grand mobilization（流通） meeting for the Beijing Olympics and Paralympics in Beijing on Wednesday at the Great Hall of People.

Chinese vice president Xi Jinping said the country will continue to do everything it can to fulfill its commitment of hosting a memorable Games.

"In the last 30 days for the Olympic preparations, we should go all out and do a good job of the Olympic security work. We should make sure we achieve our aim of hosting a safe Olympics. We should also ensure all sports venues operate smoothly."

At the same meeting, the director of the Beijing Olympic media center Sha Wanquan said the country will provide a 24-hour, international standard service to reporters from all over the world.

"We will spare no effort to provide news and information to all reporters. Besides regular match live broadcasts and information, we will organize themed news conferences and splendid reporting subjects for them."
