Overseas Chinese around the world have expressed their excitement over the success of China's Shenzhou 7 space mission.

Wang Zhili is an academician with the British Royal Medical College.

"As a Chinese, I feel so proud. The success of the Shenzhou-7 space mission signifies a remarkable achievement China has made since the country adopted the policy of reform and opening-up 30 years ago. It also represents the comprehensive strength of our nation."

Ye Xingqiu, who lives in France, says 2008 has been a remarkable year for China.

"This year marks the 30th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up policy. It's also the year when we witnessed the huge success of the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. Now, again in this year, we see the country make a huge breakthrough in aerospace technology. We're so excited about all the exciting moments of 2008."

In Indonesia, Yang Jianchang has also paid close attention to the Shenzhou-7 space mission.

"As an overseas Chinese, I sincerely wish that in the future we can all learn from these taikonauts and all the technological experts who have been engaged in this space mission."
