1.implicit adj.

办不明确的,含蓄的

eg.My boss's surly facial expression was an implicit message that we did something wrong.

老板阴沉沉的表情暗示着我们犯了错误。

2.imply vt.

暗示,意味

eg.The teacher's smile implied that she had forgiven us.

老师的微笑表明她已经原谅了我们。

3.impress vt.

①印,盖印 ②给…以深刻印象

eg.A pattern of flowers had been impressed onto the cloth.

花的图案已经印在了这块布上。

eg.Mr. Bao impressed Janet with his honesty and kindness.

包先生的诚实和友善给珍妮特留下了深刻的印象。

4.impulse n.

冲动;刺激,驱使

eg.She was so hot that she had the impulse to jump into the pool even with her clothes on.

5.inaugurate vt.

eg.The health club inaugurated a morning exercise session,which they did not have before.

eg.In an epidemic the incidence of a disease is widespread.

eg.This meeting will run from January 10 to February 15 inclusive.
