A 28-year-old Afghan immigrant is in custody, in connection with the bombings that rocked New York City and New Jersey Over the weekend. The arrest came just hours after police issued a bulletin and photo of Ahmad Khan Rahami. He was taken into custody following a shootout with police.
Minnesota police officials said there's no evidence to suggest a shopping mall stabbing involved more than a lone attacker. The man who stabbed nine people Saturday was shot and killed by an off-duty officer. Federal investigators say they are looking at the attack as a potential act of terrorism.
U.S. health officials lowered the warning for pregnant women to stay out of Miami's Wynwood Arts District. This comes after no new cases of mosquito-borne Zika illness have been reported since early August. Officials credit aggressive aerial spraying.
And a wedding ring lost over 37 years ago has been returned to its owner after a scuba-diving instructor found it in the waters off Spain's Mediterranean coast last month. The owner, saw the scuba diver's Facebook post, which had been shared more than 70,000 times.
